Adiantum pedatum ‘Imbricatum’

Imbricatum (Dwarf) Maidenhair Fern, Dwarf Western Maidenhair Fern

Adiantum aleuticum 'Imbricatum'

Semi-evergreen Fern, Perennial

"Deciduous fern that is 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall and 1 1/2 feet wide. Part shade to shade (morning or the very late afternoon sun is OK). A smaller version of the maidenhair fern with overlapping pinnules on a radiating foliar fan. It can tolerate brighter light than the species, but not full or midday sun. Likes moist, but not soggy soil and dislikes, dry conditions." Plant Tag

"Deciduous, clumping fern with rich-green foliage growing from black stems. Makes a graceful accent in the shade garden. Deer resistant. Ferns thrive in neutral to acidic, loose, richly organic soil. Excellent for mass plantings, rock gardens, containers, in woodlands and naturalized landscapes." Little Prince
